Niegocin lake – area: 26.4 sq. km, length: 10.8 km, width: 4.8 km, depth: 39.7 m. In the eastern part of the lake there is an island Grajewska Kepa (Grajewska Clump), called the “Love Island.”Boczne lake – area: 1.8 sq. km, length: 3 km, width: 0.8 km, depth: 17 m. The lake constitutes a south-western bay of Niegocin lake.The Kula canal – length: 0.1 km, it connects Boczne lake and Jagodne lake.Jagodne lake – area: 9.5 sq. km, length: 8.7 km, width:: 1.8 km, depth:: 37.4 m.Szymoneckie lake – area: 4.8 sq. km, length: 3 km. The lake constitutes a south-western bay of Jagodne lake and it is connected with Szymon lake by the Szymonski canal, 2.3 km long.Szymon lake – area: 1.5 sq. km, length: 1.9 km, width: 1.4 km, depth: 2.9 m.The Miodunski canal – 1,9 km long, connects Szymon lake with Kotek Wielki lake.The Lelecki canal – 0.5 km long, connects Kotek Wielki lake with Taltowisko lake.Taltowisko lake – area: 3.3 sq. km, length: 4.4 km, width: 1.6 km, depth: 39.5 m.The Talcki canal – length: 1.6 km, connects Taltowisko lake with Talty lake.Talty lake and Rynskie lake – area: 18.4 sq. km, length: 20 km, width: 1.8 km, depth: 50.8 m.Mikolajskie lake – area: 5 sq. km, length: 5.8 km, width: 1.6 km, depth: 25.9 m. This lake fills a part of the lake trough running from Ryn to Ruciane-Nida. Its coast is usually high, and its western part is covered with forest (the Piska Forest).Beldany lake – area: 9.4 sq. km, length: 12.4 km, width: 2.4 km, depth: 46 m. It is a trough lake filling the southern part of the trough (35 km) stretching from Ryn to Ruciane- Nida, and surrounded by a pine-spruce forest of the Piska Forest.The Guzianka Sluice – a one-chamber sluice, length: 44 m, width: 7.5 m. The difference of levels between Nidzkie lake (117.9 m above sea level) and Beldany lake (115.7 m above sea level) reaches 2.2 m. The sluice gate was built in 19th century.Small Guzianka Lake – area: 0.4 sq. km, length: 1.5 km.Big Guzianka Lake – area: 0.6 sq. km, length: 2.6 km, depth: 25.9 m. Ruciane-Nida – Nidzkie lakeNidzkie lake – area: 18.3 sq. km, length: 23 km, width: 3.8 km, depth: 23.7 m. It is often called “The Pearl of the Mazurian Lakes.” It is completely surrounded by the Piska Forests. There are eleven islands on the lake. On its western coast – the forester’s house, called Pranie – at present it serves as a museum of K. I. Galczynski (an outstanding Polish poet).
