Nidzkie lake – area: 18.3 sq. km, length: 23 km, width: 3.8 km, depth: 23.7 m. It
is often called “The Pearl of the Mazurian Lakes.” It is completely surrounded by
the Piska Forests. There are eleven islands on the lake. On its western coast –
the forester’s house, called Pranie – at present it serves as a museum of K. I.
Galczynski (an outstanding Polish poet).
